I love that poster.

This is 90 year old Andy from the retirement home.
I believe he was trying to convince my wife to stay in the rumble seat too long.

We almost came to blows.

Getting Andy in there was the easy part.

Getting Andy out....well, that's another story.

It is important to note - that if that woman had not "Stayed in the Rumble Seat too long !" - I would not be here ! ! !

Default She stayed in the rumble seat too long

Not by accident, but the 'Rumble Seat' was also often called "The Mother-in-Law Seat". That was before late '31 - when the rear window DID NOT roll down, and all her 'pearls of wisdom' were left 'blowin' in the wind'.

Yet one more bit of trivia, now long lost: for those who insist in both 'spooning' and in inter-active living-history - you should know that while in the Front Seat - there can still be room for 'action'. The gear shift stick, while normally in the way, can be, with a little bit of manly force, pulled up and turned out of the way - clearing the way for more manly manuveuring.

There is a lot of history that has not made it into books !

!
I was told that while the small lever was for the parking brake, moving the big lever that way was for the sparking break.
