There are two very rare examples on ebay item 190610829514. It's an early '28 roadster with very cool after market headlight lens and the most elegant rear view mirrors I have ever seen. "Nymph" rear view mirrors, mounted on the dual spares... I, who have always thought too many excessories detracts from the car, will admit, I love these two items.

My '29 coupe has a 1 1/2 inch drop block on the steering column mount. Lots of patina. I think I read somewhere that they were used on 400-A's, phaetons, and vickys?? One supplier is selling repros for $35.00. Longer bolts must be used with drop block.

The genuine Ford fender mounted parking lights. Are the rarest Model-A
accessory that I can think of. "Supposedly" authentic ones have been offered for sale on eBay, but I had my doubts. Occassionally you will see a pic of a car with them on it. However, never a good close up shot to really see what they looked like. ![]() Bob-A ![]() |

I think the hardest to find, unautherized accessory is the gas tank filler box. There was a post a year or so ago about them, soon after one showed up on ebay, brought big money. Sorry I don't have a picture...

Anyone have a picture of these fender mounted parking lights?? I have a set mounted on a set of 29 CCPU fenders obtained from a friend, and if they are rare, then I need to return the lights to him. Obviously, I am NOT an expert on the "A" - nor much of anything else!! If you have a picture or a reference - please send it to [email protected].

I think the hardest accessory to find are the Lap Robes. I have only seen just one example.
They were: 52" x 64": A-18545-A (Gray); A-18545-B (Blue); A-18545-C (Brown); 52" x 58": A-18545-A1 (Gray). Why? Deteriotion of the cloth over the past 80 years or so. Introduced in early 1931. I bet between all of us we could put together a great "site" showing all the Ford Accessories if there is not one already...is there? Pluck |

I'd like to find a rear end that looks completely stock, but has an overdrive in the differential. It's in that yellow accessories book.

purdy, nice set up, but for me, it looks like the carb almost touches the tail pipe. It would be my luck if I was running that, the rear carb needle and seat would get debris to stick it open and catch my car on fire...

![]() ![]() The only thing I know about this intake is that it was bought at a farm auction about 50 miles north of the Twin Cities about 15 years ago. I suspect that someone made a one off experimental intake back in the 20's or 30's. |

Tom, Thats one goofy looking intake, have you tried it out yet? Have you figured out what the jets or screws in it do?
