I refurbed a stock exhaust manifold with new studs and replaced a cracked one on my 33 coupe. I cut down some head studs and recut the threads. Came out well.

Yesterday I installed a great generator end plate that I was working on and making it a thing of beauty. This end plate though, I used to explore and become familiar with. I introduce everyone to my "felt wick."

today my new and hopefully better fitting clutch/brake pads from dennis carpenter will arrive. the current pads that i purchased do not fit the properly or shall i say the best. the studs on the current pair i believe are not pipe thread and only thread in so far which i used to secure with nuts tightned up against brake arm. Tom.

S tarted our 38 dlx coupe and our 38 Conv. coupe after a 5 month sleep; each turned about 3 time and fired up, coupe has an electric fuel pump, primed the conv.

I'm often asked about converting Ford 6 volt generators to 12v. Especially those with the pulley mounted fan. This is a 1930s V8 generator that I just finished converting to 12 volt and 2-brush configuration.

Here is another custom Ford generator I just finished. It is for a 1933 to 1939 style Ford V8. What makes it special is that it is a 3-brush 12 volt negative ground configuration. It uses a new negative ground diode cutout. Note that it uses a terminal stud rather than 2 wires coming out of the generator to the cutout.

I build 1933 - 1939 style Ford 12v conversions in either 2-brush or 3-brush configuration. The customer can choose which configuration best suits his needs.

I just insalled the Mallory duel piont Charlie set up for the 255 in my 41 pickup. It ran so nice I drove my wife 40 odd miles to her garden club meeting. First time its been out and about since it got here to Missouri. Tim

Got the last 3 unbroken studs out of a spare block I have, used an induction heat tool and a snap-on stud remover. Next project is to get out the 4 broken studs, I’m going to try mig welding a nut on and see what happens.

Walked the Original Portland, Or Swap Friday [up top], found a nice Canadian '41 intake with the fill tube, and a good '34 right front shock. Lots of open spaces in and out., some crazy high prices-some deals. Hope it lasts, Lower race track Swap was sold out months ago and only 3 miles of vendors. Carts and bicycles highly recommended. Refilled my coolant system after the winter, will change the oil after a ride and serviced my 30 year old B&S 4.5 lawnmower that is flathead powered. LOL

Called Mac Van Pelt yesterday to order some transmission parts so I can put my top loader back together with a good used cluster gear. Broke a tooth off after only putting 1000 miles on my pickup. Parts will be waiting for me when I get home from vacation.
