The passing of a legend. Endless Ford knowledge, a true friend, every bit a gentleman. Rest in peace David.

Very sad news. I never got to meet him in person, but I really appreciated all the guidance he provided to everyone by writing the 32 book, and all the detailed advice to uncountable individuals over the years as the 32 advisor. I was looking forward to his 33-34 book re-write too, hopefully someone can finish it.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Dave.
I sat with him at Mike Driscoll's spot for over an hour this past Hershey going over a dozen locks and keys that he wanted me to repair. Then we sat and visited swapping war stories and just chatting.
We had met several years before so it was great to catch up every year at Hershey.
RIP my friend, I'll see ya on the other side.

I'm sorry to hear of David's passing. I was able to visit with him and Danny Driskell at the Third Gen spot this past year at Hershey. His knowledge and presence will be missed by many. RIP

This was a shock to me. I just found out about this yesterday when I was at Deuce Roadsters house yesterday. We are all going to miss David. He was a wealth of information and always reaching out to help myself and others here. R.I.P.

I first met David at Hershey in 1968. His 32 deluxe roadster was in the show. It was difficult to get a good look at the car, the crowds were four or more deep for hours. There were hundreds of Ts and As and less than a handful of early Ford V8s. Needless to say Davids roadster was heads and shoulders above all the Fords on display. IMHO Davids car started a trend of HIGH QUALITY early Ford V8 restorations. I looked at that car for hours, I finally got to talk to him, gave me his address and phone number, call or write anytime. I did, in fact talked to him a few times when he was stationed in Brazil. Each Hershey I would try to track him down just to talk. Just to know him was an honor, Hershey will never be the same.

I have been a Early V8 Club member for over 50 years but only recently had contact with David over 1932 Fords. My questions on the Model B standard coupe and a couple parts I purchased for the car he once told me that the '32 5 window was his first and favorite of the 1932 models. I wish I had known him as you did years ago and could ask him if the '32 roadster you mention at Hershey is still in his possession? Did he build even better ones or even more original as a Model B or a V8? How many did he own ? I guess what I am trying to say is if you build what you think is the best example of a car like his 1932 roadster how do you top it? Do you just build another one the same or in a different version as Model B or Model 18 ? I doubt he ever had to sell one in order to buy another as I always have.

I am very sorry to hear about David Rehors passing . He was a big help when I was restoring my 1932 3window coupe here in New Zealand. The last time he helped me was with the 1932 radio .He used to like being contacted by emails. Another person I have been helped by was Jim Kroll I have not heard from him for a long time he went into an old folks home and used to contact me from there. I am living by myself now coming up 90 years but I still have the 1932 3W coupe but I do not drive it much now. Their is not many of us old guys left now.

37 Coupe, David and I talked about the roadster a couple of times. He told me he sold it in the early 70s. Years later he regretted it and tried to track it down. No luck at all.

I was very saddened to hear that my friend David had passed. I was visiting with Ken Stewart on the phone about a week ago and he told me that David was no longer with us.

I first met David in Dearborn at the Grand National Meet in 2003 (I believe). I was showing my '32 Ford Roadster Model B for the first time. He was chief judge for the '32's at that meet (naturally). I learned so much from him then and for over 20 years since.

The Model B engine in my Roadster I purchased from David. I had it rebuilt with a balanced crank. Ran perfectly! I have been to his "Toy Box" on several occasions. He even supplied me with the correct brown/gray dash paint for my '32 Standard Coupe. I was amazed at all knew about the 32's in general.

What a treasure he was! He will be missed by many! R.I.P. David

Lineup of old Fords in David Rehor's Workshop.
His collection of pristine old Fords was an incredible sight.
Only some of his cars are shown in these photos.
Restored parts adorned the walls in every direction.
David was a true professional in every respect.
I count it a privilege to have known him.

I do too. Each time there is one of those real details about our Fords especially the '32s, I think about him. always so helpful.

Ford folks,
I had thought about this picture. Went and found it. This was taken the first time we met David and Micheal at the Franklin Tenn V8 club meet In 2022. Yes they are sitting in our 32 Ford dump truck. They did several laps around the parking lot! I think they both had smiles! Yep, he is missed for sure!

Regards,
Chris and Cheryl

Yes Chris, I remember meeting you there and admiring your truck, as I had been following your re-furbishing thread. I also remember seeing, but not actually meeting David and Michael as they were fiddling with their vehicles in the parking lot that morning. I've wished I had met both of them ever since, but I had to hurry home to Kentucky as my BIL in Michigan had passed. Had to cut my visit to Franklin short and haven't been able to make another national since.

OMG, how terrible. My condolences. He did in fact contribute so very much authentic knowledge here and to the hobby.
