Default Merc 255 vs Ford 239 Rods Pistons Crank

I understand that the crank and pistons are different between the Ford 239 and the Merc 255 with the 4” sreoke. Are the rods the same or are they different too?

Rods are the same for US made engines. Some of the French made engines used a shorter rod and a stock Ford piston on their 4 inch stroke crank engines but these are not very common.
