Default Tom Whitney,Flathead V8 Generator Conversions

I just read on The Hamb that he passed recently. He for many years did the Alt conversions into the Flathead generators. The son is selling the stuff.
Another one gone.I knew him and had him do a few generator conversions for me.What a nice person he was.

Very sad indeed. I agree, Tom was a very nice person. In some long phone calls, Tom very patiently schooled me on servicing one of his alternators when I needed to make changes to use a different mounting system. Working with him was a distinct pleasure.

Is this Ed’s son? I visited Ed and his wife at their home back in 06. DanKrebiel gave me the generator core and Ed built my alternator in the generator for my ‘32. He had a nice 32 Deluxe Coupe.

Yes Ed's son Tom who passed. The grandson posted Ed's 32 3W on The Hamb for sale and explained the situation.

Ah, thanks. I have a fond memory sitting in Ed’s living room enjoying conversation over an ice cold lemonade as I waited for my generator to be built. That was in ‘06.
