Default Update on "Copper Head Gasket"

I have been chasing the cause of low compression in #2 cylinder as described in this thread: http://fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=42560

Today I pulled both valves from #2 and have found that the exhaust valve stem is slightly bent and that the intake valve surface perimeter was not concentric with the stem. Both valves will be replaced - will report back as to whether this cures the low compression.
