It looks like the original style spark plugs with the brass nut are very expensive. I'm reading that members use Autolite 386 plugs. Will the Ford spark plug wire snap on to these plugs?

Yes,HF IV I have a '37 that ive had for 5 yrs and the autolite 386 ive been useing all along since have worked well.i believe they are 14mm thread. i dont believe you mentioned what year ford and/or motor you have. Tom. btw the brass oe plug wire ends slip over snug onto plugs.

Oh, it is a 35. I'm going to tackle the wires and plugs starting today. I am new to OLD cars. I'm 67 but have never had a car older than 1949.

i get my autolite 386 from oreillys make sure you put in that the car is a 1935 ford. i believe i might have said that the 386s that my '37 was a 14mm thread but in fact they are 18mm. good luck. Tom.

Henry Ford IV - Since your a new to your car, I suggest that you purchase a copy of the 1935-1936 Book from the Early Ford V-8 Club of America if you haven't already and also consider joining the Early Ford V-8 Club too.
