I recently posted a question i was having with my brakes. I got the answers and more than i had asked for. Thanks
While reading who helped me i noticed glennpm had a note under his signature that said "Archives of historical but relevant older articles" called: Techno-Source-for-the-1932-thru-1953-Flathead-Ford Wow, there is a wealth of information there. I am not sure if it common knowledge that this is available, but it is very good. I spent about 5 minutes on it and will read more later on. Thanks |

Great on the fix and perusing the Techno stuff. Lots of material there and you are one of the very few that have even noticed it.
Glenn

Hi Glenn. I am sure one of those who often use the techno-source and I can only praise the huge amount of work that went into it. I should have testified earlier ![]() Take care. Max

Don't forget that Glenn set up the archives so you can download the whole thing!
It is a great compilation of information, sadly some of the authors are no longer with us. Many thanks to Glenn for making sure this is available. |

Wow… feels like I just discovered the lost scrolls!!!
Huge appreciation and thanks to those who go before and amass the knowledge, then invest even more of their time and effort ensuring it’s passed to those who come after! I was at Supercar Sunday at Woodland Hills in LA just last weekend, and we were pondering what these meets might look like ten years from now… will the next generation love and cherish the machines we have preserved (or reinvented) from the past with the same passion? I fear there are too few schools today teaching basic mechanical skills and developing common sense aptitude to figure out how things tick! Yootoob is great but it’s not the same. I really appreciate this resource for me… and hope there are new generations who are able to understand and use it!!! |

I had the pleasure of teaching a young woman (granddaughter of a neighbor) how to drive a stick shift the other day, in our '65 Mustang (289 with a Tremec T-5). She's a junior getting her degree in mechanical engineering at university. Asked her what she is doing for the summer, she's taking Calculus IV/Differential Equations in summer school (remotely) (there's hill I died on 57 years ago as a chemistry major!). Obviously very intelligent, crazy about old cars, very anxious to learn how to drive a stick-maybe next time I'll let her try out the '36. Gives me hope for the future of the hobby! Adam

Another glimmer of hope… a dad and his two teenage sons at a meet recently with a Medel A that their grandfather had restored… the two boys were both proud and knowledgeable about the car and certainly not there under duress!!! |
