Yes, rare factory grill guard. These seem to have been not popular when new. Aftermarket or home made grill guards are more common.

I think Chuck of Chucks Trucks fame has those guards on both of his MHs; an F1 and Ranger. If not authentic, he wouldn’t have them.

In the late 80's I had both the grille guard and the fog lights NOS. 8C prefix on the fog lights as I recall. Sold both for fairly minimal money as I didn't have a truck.
