Hello.
We Fabricated a FH run Stand .

As “Olde Ron “ would say , we don’t put brand new FH motor builds on a run stand.
We put them in a hunk of metal with 4 tires, and run th Som Bt CH .
So we honor his knowledge, as this is not a
“ Break In “ situation.

Went and looked a one of the nicest original 34 BB trucks that I have ever seen. Showing 18,000+ miles. Not perfect but has original paint and most of the pin stripe. Drivers door is super good.

Continuing saga of "I Love Old Cars. After the transmission adventure. There was a strange noise coming from the car. Not in Reverse but in all three forward gears.

Wish I could say I accomplished more. Went down multiple internet rabbit holes trying to figure out which parts I need for my project. All part of the journey!

I think it's great that it appears to be a V-8 version and not a 4-cylinder model.
Hope your friend will share some of the story on Fordbarn on what he does to the truck.

Went to the local Ford dealers to attend a regular Saturday car meet. Drove the Mercury which got a good reception.

Yes its a v-8 model. The oval badges on the hood that have 'Ford' in them are missing, possibly stolen. Also a deluxe model. It has a chrome front bumper and a chrome hood hinge. He plans to get it running as is and use it as a mobile display for his hit and miss engines.

Washed the old girl this afternoon, scrubbed the whitewalls and made the sign “For Sale”. Driving it to the Country Club tomorrow for a golf event, hopefully find someone younger that wants to take care of her for the next few years. She still has the original carpets in the rear seat area!

I picked up an engine for my Meteor project the other day. Canadian made 8BA. I'm including a couple photos of the bellhousing I plan on using. I assume it is the stamped kind.

Some how five of the six bolts on the clam shell covering the u joint disappeared.
Dont ask me how. As all the bolts were tight after the recent transmission replacement.
And they were the same fasteners that were on the car for the last few years.
So new fasteners with NYlock Nuts and Loc Tite. Problem solved.
Everything works well (So Far). On to the next adventure. Happy Motoring!

Miss Daisy getting a chassis lube and brake adjustment. It sure is nice to have a friend with a car lift. It saves a lot of wear & tear on my old bones :-)
