Fuel line fitting - tube wobbles

That explains the brass cooling plumbing.

Yeah, got a rear mounted rad. Just wrapped up the coolant system. Got some leaks at the pump gaskets. If interested, here’s the link to my build thread on the HAMB.

For what it is worth I tried those fuel fittings with the built in ferrule. I didn't like them. I did find, though, that the nuts will still work with a conventional barrel shaped ferrule. Nuts designed for use with separate ferrules are preferable but the other nuts will work in a pinch.

Good to know. I found some 1/4 regular box store ferrules in my stash of parts.

Mart, I remember the Imperial Eastman brass fittings we used at the plant I retired from. They had the break-away ferrule made onto the nut. They worked quite well and were used all over the plant on copper tubing mostly. Do you know if Imperial Eastman is/was an English company? We sure used a lot of those fittings. They looked a lot like the Ford tube fittings.

good thing you wondered, inquired and got it all sorted out. fuel leaks don't cut it! and I never seen a loose fuel line fitting/connection that did not leak!
