Jawman,

Love the truck and I want one-eventually. Did you check with the Beaver Chapter Model A club yet? They might have some leads on parts.

Ron,
What a great looking truck, All you need is some TEXICO decals on ea. side, it would go well with that bright red.
A really nice looking truck.

NDTMAN are you going with a different drivetrain or just have extra parts? is the motor running or parts? does it have a b model distributor?

the truck hasnt done much for a while now. I just have a lot going on and a 27 t bucket in the garage already. when I started working on the truck the first thing I did was take off the fenders and running boards. I always thought I was going keep all the sheet metal on there until I took it off and noticed a whole another look. right now I probably dont want to sell them, but it also depends on what you want to spend and I have no idea of what I want for them.

I keep reading where everyone snaps off rusty nuts & bolts. I always heat the nuts cherry red and let cool, if it doesn't come loose the first time I heat it a second time and quench it with water. Sometimes you have to be careful if you are heating next to something you don't want to get hot though. If the nut & bolt are original in good shape you can heat them slightly so as not to oxidise the metal and they'll polish up fine.

Ray, Good tip! Most of the rusty nuts and bolts I have snapped off have not been original, but the ones that I have snapped off, were pretty corroded. I try to save the originals if I can, there are some fasteners on the wagon I can't find replacements for!

Keep V-8ing and 4-banging!

I use the plasma cutter sometimes, but you have to be very careful. if done properly you wont even see a burn mark after the bolt is gone.

I have a mint or near mint original BB radiator if you need one. I was going to list it on ebay some day, but if you need it, it's for sale.

it all depends on what is it worth. Mine is okay I think. I have never had it under pressure.

same as Model A sequence and 55 ft lbs on the head. I do not like to torque the manifold..just tighten it evenly and repeat after driving it and when cool a few times until the bolts stay tight. too tight will break the manifold.

You might want to upgrade to the Snyders 5.5 :1 head. A worthwhile investment!

This is the 5.5 there is also the 6.1:

I am trying to figure out gearing too. I would like the truck have a little higher gearing, but I want to keep the same wheels. Every rear end I have looked at has a different bolt pattern then the 32. I saw one guy on another forum that took a 36 1 ton rear end and put a Dana 60,70, or 80 center section in it. I dont remember one one it was right now. I was also thinking of putting a model A or some other trans mission in as a brownie.
