Along with the recent purchase of my '31 coupe, came boxes and boxes (and more boxes) of spare parts left over from the restoration. New parts, old parts, tools, manuals, books, etc. Many of the parts are brand new, still in unopened plastic bags. I plan on keeping the all the books and manuals, and I have pulled out some of the parts I think I could possibly use in the future.
I have divided/sorted them up into groups: body, electrical, chassis, engine, brakes, driveline, etc. Most of these parts are small - nuts, bolts, shims, spacers, rivets, trim, rubber bumpers, etc. See attached photos. Also have a completely disassembled transmission in a box. Question - best way to move this stuff along? Given my car was a complete body off restoration, and virtually every part is rebuilt or new, I don't see the need to keep them, and I really don't have the storage space or the desire to keep it around. Should I sell it as a "package" for the whole works, maybe $25? My goal is more about the stuff finding a good home or put to use, than making $$. On the disassembled transmission, it's way too heavy to ship. But if I sell locally, what should I ask?

The TCMAFC (Twin Cities Model A Ford Club) has a bucket swap before every meeting (Third Thursday of the month). You could bring some or all the parts you want to sell and probably get rid of many of them.

I see $200-$300 worth in stuff. There is a swap section here on Ford Barn.

Go to a swap meet and have a $1 table. Then have fun talking to all the model A people that stop by.

I would keep the original parts. You never know when you will need things and the new stuff is 99% of the time nowhere near as good. Especially the bearings! I know they take up space but I keep one of things around like gears, brightwork, sheet metal namely because they don't make that stuff anymore.

Leonard and Mike have good points. I was going to say the same thing. Wear parts and maintenance parts, like points, condensors, filters, bulbs, gaskets, switches, etc.

I would like to buy all the stuff you pictured in all six pics. I am new to Model A's. Found my grandfather's from 1945 when he returned from war. See pic in the thumbnail. I need to restore her. If your parts do not align with mine I can swap them with others.
My goal is a full restoration if I can afford the $$$ and time. Consider it. I will pay the shipping. Diastole in the Smokies

Good Model A transmission cluster gears sell for $75-100 quite easily. You have a bit more than $25 in those boxes.
It's very hard to sell a complete trans. Good cluster gears sell quickly and can be shipped easily. |

Thanks for the tips and suggestions everyone!
With the help from a member of the local Model A club, I pulled out a few parts to keep as spares and/or "travel backups". The rest are are going to Diastole for the Model A Coupe restoration he is leading with a Boy Scout troop in Tennessee. 7 boxes total.
