Need assistance in buying an inline pump. Made a mistake buying Edelbrock Micro, which their Tech guy said is not right, as it is gravity feed only. He recommended p/n 1791. Application is 37 Ford. I have regulator @ about 3 lbs., running 2 Stromberg 94s on B&M blower. Engine 284 cid. Want to mount it on frame rail above rear axle. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I used this one on my 49 F-1 with an 8BA. It worked great. Mounted right to frame between tank and engine. https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Ele...1216971&sr=8-8

It's best to get an electric fuel pump with the pressure reading you need rather than getting one with too much pressure and then putting a regulator in line to cut the pressure down. It needs to be mounted close to the fuel tank and have a good-sized fuel filter mounted "before" the pump to protect it. Then if you are going to run an electric pump just to prime the engine and run off of the mechanical pump once its started. You need to make sure the electric pump is in the "open position" when there is no power to it so the mechanical pump can pull fuel through it. Most electric fuel pumps are in the closed position when there is no power to them. The Airtex Fuel Pump catalog used to show the pressure readings of the pumps and if they were open or closed when they did not have power to them. There were only one or two pumps that were compatible with the low pressure required for Stromberg carbs.

Uhhh, you got that backwards. Ford, used 97's before they used 94's. I think the change occurred in 1938 or thereabouts.
