I took a test ride on one, the rear wheel bearings let go, the chain jumped and I wrecked it. Just got some minor skinning up.

My contractor neighbor took in a 1931 Indian when a customer could not pay his bill. The bike was like new. I did not like the backwards brake, shift and throttle. I rode it around the field behind our house. This was in 1956 when I was 16.

Pete, you're just knockin' 'em outa the park since you got back from vacation. Nice to have 'Pete the Enlarger' back in town. Here's my favorite old guy on a bike photo.

Great thread!
For you motorcylists, visiting Dale Walksler's https://wheelsthroughtime.com/ is nirvana! My wife and I visited it a number of years ago and loving it! Well this guy came up and gave us a tour, whom I found out later was Dale! He gave me a permanent pass and a jersey and hat gratis :-) He also did a fast turnaround in the museum on the Excelsior Super X! A great guy who loves it .... Indians ... and some more, ho-hum :-) My Beemer during the trip and later with a Flexit articulated leaner that I fabricated brackets for.

Great!
I have two other bikes now, 1979 XS650 and a 2007 Buell Ulysses. I sold my VStrom last year, great bike but four was too many. More of my stuff here. check out the videos. Not familiar with Indian's or bikes in general but my older brother supposedly bought one of the last one's (don't know what model) in 1961.
