It reminds me of some of the home made automatic transmission pressing tools I've seen.

Having rebuilt several towers using 3 different homemade spring compressor I bit the bullet and bought the kit. Safer, quicker, and faster, with a little use I wouldn't go back!!!

Nice Wick! Looks to be a lot safer than the one some of the vendors sell.
