1936 3W Upholstery Kit Installation

With LeBaron Bonney and Cartouche gone I am faced with the tough task of figuring out what to do to for a stock interior on a 1936 3 window coupe that was completely gutted decades ago. There are of course a lot of detailed photos in many books which should be a lot of help. Another source of assistance may be the installation instructions that would have accompanied a LeBaron Bonney upholstery kit for a 3 W coupe (I installed one of their kits in a '30 Model A sport coupe a number of years ago and the instructions were very detailed). Did anyone out there save the installation instructions when they installed their coupe interior some time in the past? If so, I would greatly appreciate getting hold of a copy - probably scan and email, or whatever works. Thanks!

I still would like to know more about the #6 "windbreak assemblies".

I think #6 are panels that close the gap between the seat sides and the quarter panels

Sounds like I am in the same situation as you guys, building a 36’ 3W.
Without being able to purchase a Interior Kit.

I was able to order, and recently receive a HeadLiner .

I was wondering if anyone had information on their original construction and configuration.

Only ones I have seen were on a '50s custom interior; they were made of "something" covered in white vinyl.

I have a new headliner that I can't use, from Cartouche for a '50 coupe. I bought an interior for my sedan in 2006 and never checked for fit until this winter when I found it was wrong. It is the correct color for a '50 DeLuxe tan .

If you have the old one, a decent trim shop can copy it EASY. Without the old one, it still remains a fairly easy task for good trim shop.

Thanks, if I was in the USA I would be very interested in your headlining.
It would probably work out too pricey for me at the moment with the $ exchange rate and shipping costs.

I am planning to visit the US sometime in the future and will "stock up" with the huge list of parts that I would like/need for my cars, so will save your contact name.

I am thinking I may be able to resew the original, it is hanging low here and there, or make a new one myself.

I have never used a sewing machine in my life.
