Default 1933 Ford Cabriolet Survivor

Does anyone recognize this 1960s build survivor? Supposedly originally built in California and in later years moved to Tennessee. I recently purchased it from a gentleman in Florida and it now resides in Georgia. It has a 1956 Corvette engine with factory dual quads, 3 speed manual transmission. Any information or history would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ! Mick Belk, 864-373-2905, text [email protected]

Survivor? Barn find? Restored?

Three of (perhaps) the most often misused words in our hobby.
Guys, there is zero shame in using a dictionary.

Let's give the guy a break. All he wants is a little information. I agree that he would probably get better results on the H.A.M.B.

Denny is right, as usual, and from what I hear those early small block Ch__y blocks are like finding a good flathead block.

I'll even be a little contrary here. I have no problem with calling a car built in the sixties with a fifties era SBC a "survivor". The seats however, are another matter.

With respect you can call it whatever you'd like.
I continue to laugh at the guys that insist they own a 1940 Ford opera coupe although no such thing was ever built.
I have attached a photo of my '34... this is a survivor.

A survivor in terms of hot rods, which is why the H.A.M.B. is probably a better place for this.

Nice 34 Kube. If it's a WI car, must have a good back story. Most survivors were from the barn up there where they were put up for the winter and not brought out till spring. The winter cars did not survive because of the salt and so on.

My std '33 5w has a 4 cyl serial no. Is now a V8 flaty w original brakes as I bought it. Early '33s even had left over '32 heavy axles. Racers got most of them. Newc
