Default 2024 Holiday Excursion Video

This event is really on my 'bucket list' to do just once, ...or at least just once. Appears there were a lot of Model-As on the tour this year. Anyone here get to attend?

Dang - didn't know this was taking place; spent the past week or so in nearby Pasadena (to catch the Rosebowl Parade) and would have stopped by to see those wonderful old cars on the road if I had known it was happening.

On the plus side, I did manage to stop by the Nethercutt Museum the day before to get my old car fix (albeit on display and not driving around).

By far the best automotive museum out there! The music room and other displays are phenomenal.

There were lots of Model T's, A's and some early V8's in stock form. I also saw a Lincoln. I liked the '37 station wagon.

We took 11 cars from Pomona As. A similar number from Santa Anita. A few from San Diego and Temecula. About 250 cars total. A great morning followed by a 30 mile cruise through the foothills with a stop at a park for coffee and donuts. It ends with lunch and then a short jaunt to one of the members homes for dessert and a garage tour.

I have new 6.0 heads in stock, and may have a new IB330 cam too. Send me a PM if you want to pursue that.

I attended this year again. It's always so cool to see the real mix of vehicles that show up.

I've gotta question...
On the Tour Flyer it says "1932 and older stock vehicles required for tour participation." So plenty of post-1932 vehicles seen participating along with 'non-stock' vehicles. What's the rest of the story on that??

The “excursion” requirement is 1932 and earlier but the event brings out the local car culture to the rally point
It is quite the display of cars including some that you’re not likely to see any at one gathering

The Nethercutt museum is very nice and if you take the tour you’ll see most all the jewels
Of note the movie theater with the pipe organ is of particular interest

They only pass out the route directions to 32 and earlier cars as you leave. They say stock only but the well done period race cars also get to go along. It's basically a judgement call by the guy passing out the directions.

Car gatherings in SoCal for the most part have become breakfast or dinner events. 6-10am or 5-8pm. http://www.socalcarculture.com/events.html
