I know this may be a little showy for this forum, but figured a few would enjoy seeing a detailed flathead.
I just finished this engine up for my 32 5w, nick named "The Old Chrome Coupe" This all started with a chrome 32 wishbone and then I kept finding more old chrome at swapmeets and estate sales. I did have to fill in with some fresh plating, but the majority you see here is old chrome. The specs on the engine are 276 cu in, 3-5/16 bore with a 4" Merc crank, Potvin 3/8 grind cam, resurfaced original Johnson lifters, lightened 9" flywheel, Edelbrock equipped with 3 Max Musgrove 97's on straight linkage. 32 transmission case (old chrome) with 39 style 16-28 gear set and 3" fork double detent top. I'm hoping to get it in the run stand in the next week or two, but I figured I'd share pics while it was still fresh. Neal Last edited by NealinCA; 08-26-2024 at 06:35 PM. |

I'm gonna have to sit back and reflect on that for a while.

"If it don't go, chrome it."
However, in your case that is a misnomer. What a beauty!! |
