I have tried Bob Drakes, carpenters and Fryers. If you have the $$ Daryl Fryer is the way to go by far. His castings are show correct and he even does NEW 32's. The best part is he will not let you pay for them until you try them and are 100% satisfied

I'll answer. I have just fitted a set [repeat just fitted] only have about 150 miles on them no probs at all. I have not heard of many people that have, I got them through C&G Ford parts.
I really wanted to try Skip but because I am overseas it was going to cost me for the cores but then he wanted to charge me for using PayPal that tipped it over the edge..

Same problem here I'm in Italy and sending cores is not a good idea from overseas. So, please, don't answer with "go to Skip". I already understand they are the best... What I need is a to know if Bob Drake ones are better than 70s years original. Do they improve propeller design? Do these pumps move more water than original ones?

Thank you.

I bought replacement pumps several years ago from Dennis Carpenter and am very pleased with them. Drake's web page doesn't say much about the design whereas Carpenter does.

I kow the shaft dia of the 8ba pumps are smaller than the originals because the pulleys won't press on and have to be rebushed

I recently put a pair of drake pumps on a 1936 for a friend. Did not notice until they were installed that they were both a right hand casting. The left hand pump needs a port to install temperature sender.
I ended up sending an original to skip while he sent a rebuild to me. Helped with a time constraint I was under. He also rebuilds coils
