I have a set of 16 inch wire wheels on my 1930 Tudor. What is unusual about them is that they fit the Model A hub cap. Does anyone have any information as to where or by whom they were manufactured?

Could be a set of 19" cut down to 16"s, that was a common custom move.

Yes cut down wheels as can be seen by the welds.

Looks like cut down A wheels with 16" rim. The bent spoke ends and arc welds on the spoke ends are a sure sign.

I have 6 of them that someone gave me. 3 have rusted out at the bead from being store outside.

Here's mine.
Not all are exactly true. And frankly, the welds on these look terrible. I have since replaced them with good original 19" wheels and AC radial tires. |

I just took a set of 4 to the powder coater.
Before I did, I checked them for trueness and was very surprised how good they were. I did have to do some re-work on the welds. Chris W. |

I had 6 of these wheels that I had intended to use on my pickup. I went with 19"radials and sold the 16 inchers.
