Default Henry Ford Line 1

I'd like a word with Henry.
Couldn't he have added just a quarter inch to the speedometer cable? Had he added just a quarter inch to the wiring? Cables? And what's with slotted screws? Do the innertube nozzles need to be 3 inches(whatever)? If your 10 feet tall, stay away from the Closed Cab -- two people - that's it.

Other than that -- I'm good

The Waltons never had any trouble getting three in their AA cab. We probably just eat too much now days.

If you loosen the clamp that secures the speedometer cable to the inside firewall (near where the choke rod is) and pull the cable out from underneath the clamp, you will gain about an inch up where you need the extra length to start the upper speedometer cable nut into the speedometer. That's more than enough to make starting that bezel easier.
'Can't help with the other complaints.

Henry was introduced to the Robertson screw, the one with the square hole. This could have saved countless hours in assembly, but Henry would have to have paid a royalty. So, guess what, we have to deal with slotted screws.

I hear they used them on the cars built in Canada.

They did. Canadians I know say that Robertson disliked Americans so didn't allow any American manufacturer to use his screws. That remained the case till a guy by the name of Philips came along, they say.

They got 3 in John boy’s 29 coupe too. I had a Canadian roadster body a while back, and wondered about those square head screws . Mobile homes at the time used square head screws so was able to so source a screwdriver.
