NORS Cast Iron Flathead Cylinder Heads - Wohlert
Has anyone ever seen or heard of Wohlert brand Flathead cylinder heads? These are NORS cast iron and manufactured in the state of Michigan during the war. Were there manufacturers besides Ford producing cylinder heads during this time? One set is 81T and the other set is 99T. Any thoughts or additional info is welcomed.

Re: NORS Cast Iron Flathead Cylinder Heads - Wohlert
As a youngster in the 50's & frequenting the local old line auto parts houses, seems like they all had stacks of aftermarket Ford iron heads next to the rear door. many in boxes, many bare.
I think in the early years many heads were broken from freezing because of using alcohol, not permanent anti freeze. Cost being the issue. The ALKY would boil away, then losing protection. |

Looks like FOS and FOT are Wohlert part numbers. These letters can be found on in service heads and owners often wonder what they mean and what company made the heads.
