Howdy boys, I attempted to mount the bumper on the '32 AAB I've been working on, but it appears I have the wrong mounts/bumper. I compared them to Sugarmakers '32 dump truck and they are slightly different. The truck I am working on didn't have the bumper on it when I acquired it, so I don't have any "Before" pictures. Newc sent me some of a '32, but it's hard to tell if it is the same as mine. I don't recall where I got the bumper, guess I'll have to figure that out. My question to you is, is the '32 different from a '33, '34, etc.? Thanks guys!

Folks,
These are the pictures from my 32 AAB, I shared with Seabees on the bumper. I don't have the answers as to why his bumper and brackets do not fit together? ![]() ![]() ![]() Regards, Chris and Cheryl

The basic black-painted front bumpers were the same, 1932 and 1933-34 (BB-17757-A), except for passenger and school buses. The brackets, right and left and the center backing bar are unique to '32s and unique again to '33-'34.
The part numbers for the '32 right and left hand brackets were BB-17752-A and BB-17753-A) Those part numbers for '33-'34 were BB-17752-B and BB-17753-B. The part number of the center backing bar for '32s was BB-17760-A and for '33-'34, BB17760-B. During the '32 model year itself, there would have been no part number suffixes. Judging from your photos and those of Chris, it would seem that you have a mixture of apples and oranges, including possibly some AA components Last edited by DavidG; 03-23-2024 at 11:32 PM. |

Looks like the center bar and the frame brackets I have are not the correct ones. Newc has the right center bar, but I need the two frame brackets also. Might have to heat and bend the ones I have. Thanks guys!
