You need to check with your cam grinder if they will do a steel cam. Not every grinder can or will.

Tim,
I has a 32 core in USA if I like go that way. Pete1will do one but said, be avare. But I has this cam now as showed. I has NOS 8AB 46 gram lifters and a set of titan 5/64 stem valves ( super light ) and will use Lincoln springs ( always did like the name ) That will read nice and be nice to cam. I will use a straight cam gear if I can find one ( ideas of source ) I has a 8AB cover and Cirello has got me a longer axle in my early Scintilla so cover get the centre steady rest to magnet. Plan use std oil pump, or is HV needed ? |

Heck, I would not want it anyway - why go through all the work to "finish" the rest of it. If It was going to do that, I'd buy a chunk of 8620 AQBQ and start a billet cam from scratch. |

Ronnieroadster is correct. It’s a cast cam.
1932 Steel cams are flat on the front with just the distributor drive slot. Cast have the circle as you can see on the front of cam pictured. |

I agree with Ronnie & Dale. That "rough" section showing in the pictures between the lobes looks cast.

It is an early cast core.
It is a roller grind because it has inverted flanks. It is NOT a radius lifter grind because of the shape of the toe. It does NOT have enough lift to be a serious race grind unless it was for an Ardun setup. |
