I thought 39 was the last year off the double rear window. I saw two 40,s with the the double rear window, and vent windows in the doors. Help me with my confusion. Maybe ford used up the last of the double window cars in 1940. If someone knows the answer,Please let me know? thanks Ron

Split (double rear window) was OEM issue in all 1940 Fords. They also had front door vent windows.

Does anyone make anything to eliminate the vent window in a 40?

Quote:
1. A pair of 1937-1939 doors. 2. The internal window felt retainer from a 1937-39, 1937-39 window felt kit, regulators, and bottom glass retaining channel. Then "unmodify" whatever there is at the back of the window opening when Ford changed from 1939 to 1940. |

Consider leaving the vent windows in your 40 as they are part of what makes a 40 SO SPECIAL. Plus, they supply refreshing air when driving.

Yep. Will likely leave it. It was just something I’ve wondered. I have way bigger priorities for the foreseeable future with my build!
