I’m away from my shop this week but I think it’s a 62 bulb. Check any of the V8 parts vendor's catalogs, they’ll have them listed.

The original wiring for a 1940 Ford (and any good reproduction replacement wiring) do not have a circuit breaker, they have a fuse.
Edit: I got this wrong, too long since I worked under the dash of a 40. Please read Kube's post next for correct information. Last edited by 38 coupe; 02-10-2024 at 06:09 AM. Reason: correct my mistake |

Thank you Kube. Now I know what it looks like and the location. Would you happen to know the lamp number for the 40 Ford clock light? Maybe a #55 ? KC

You need a 2cp bulb for clock light, a 50 cp for tail lamps.
