You can easily straighten the throttle rod, then bend the forged arm BACK where it should be. The forged arm is easily bent COLD, and I often see them bent ahead to the point where the carb won't idle down. I supose it bends during a careless engine removal, when the cross shaft hasn't been removed FIRST, as it should be.

Looks like you are moving right along on the truck and it's looking good!
