I soak my strombergs in plain old pine sol. I completely thought this was BS until I tried it.

I always use my large ultrasonic cleaner with heater and 50/50 simple green and water. A couple 15 minute cycles and they always come out amazingly clean.

Cleaned mine with a few cycles on my ultrasonic using Pine-Sol after picking up the trick from YouTube. Worked amazingly well. Shop smelled fresh for a long time as well.
