Re: 38 PU at Work.
Phil, those pine cones sure but well in the fire, when we lived in Upper Hutt we used to go into the pine forest on Haywards hill in our MK7 jag with the back seats out and fill it up with them.

Yes, indeed, it's great to see the old commercial vehicles still earning their keep. I like to use mine too. Loads of tree cuttings to the tip last couple of times. The ladder rack comes in handy too.

Re: 38 PU at Work.
I like to use the model A to bring home sacks of cement, have carried 6 hundred pounds home that way, drive the car next to the mixing trough, rotate and cut the top off the bag, don’t even have to lift the full bags .
Needed to get heating duct, too long for regular car — stick it in the rumble seat |

Re: 38 PU at Work.
Out of curiosity, how come the gas filler neck is not mounted in the fender and is on the outside?

Re: 38 PU at Work.
I'm with you Phil, I've always thought of my '36 truck as a working vehicle. Never could understand people who tart these old workhorses up with white wall tires and flawless paint. See also the photo below from back in the day.

Re: 38 PU at Work.
Gotcha. I wondered if there was some kind of difference in the trucks sent to NZ. I'm always learning new stuff. Your truck is in great shape too.
