Does the 1936 Ford transmission have front seal #78-7052? I find conflicting info in several manuals and catalogs.

Not from the factory, however the trans could have a later snout fitted that carries the seal

If it doesn't have the later "78" bearing retainer with a seal, find one and install it with a new seal. I have plenty of them if you need one.

Dimensions of FORD 78-7052 are : ID 1.375 (1.3/8) X 2" OD X .312 (5/16) W metal case leather lipped &spring loaded.
