1936 Pickup fender brackets
Can someone take a few detailed pictures of how the rear fender brackets are mounted on a 36 pickup? The fenders are misshapen somewhat so it is not clear which mounting holes line up on the bed
Thanks |

Re: 1936 Pickup fender brackets
I do a poor job of identifying my photos. I have some good pictures, but finding them is another thing. I do know one thing and that is to attach the bracket to the fender before attempting to mount it on the bed. My 2¢.

Re: 1936 Pickup fender brackets
That first picture of the fender brace is of a front fender. The outside mounting hole location is different on the rear fender. I will have to find a picture. The second picture is of the rear fender.

Re: 1936 Pickup fender brackets
Thanks. I was very confused.
The hole in the fender doesn’t seem possible to line up the same way. I was looking at different years to see if there was a difference. |

Re: 1936 Pickup fender brackets
This is very interesting. The hole location for the fender is not close. Both sides are the same
I have a little wiggle room on the fender but not that much |

Re: 1936 Pickup fender brackets
It has been too many years since I did my 35 PU but it seems I remember the rear hole on the 37 pickup rear fender is different somehow different from the 35-36. It's all sort of fuzzy now after so long.

Re: 1936 Pickup fender brackets
The difference could be -- original bracket or reproduction bracket.
I had both -- and found that the original one was the one that lined up. Please note, the brackets don't fit the contour of the fender as much as they supply support and rigidness for the edge of the fender. |

Re: 1936 Pickup fender brackets
I think I may have 37 fenders. So I located a hole where it seems to look correct.
Do you think the fender needs some work? |

I think the fender could use a little TLC. LOL

Re: 1936 Pickup fender brackets
I’ll send some pictures when done. I have a lot of work a head. All fenders and grill need work
