1932 coupe windshield swing arm bolts
I have ordered the windshield pivot arm bolt kit from 2 different venders and both are wrong. My windshield pivot arm bracket is screwed to the windshield and HAS a threaded tube nut attached for the swing arm pivot screw. (12-24 pitch). The Vintique kit has a tube nut included in case you are missing the original attached nut. The screw has the wrong diameter head. Way too small compared to what I believe is my original screw head diameter of 1/2". Research from the The 1932 Ford Book, vol 2, A-11-20, shows B-45467-A which is the same as mine. Also no luck from Natchez. Anyone have a source? The screw head is called a binder or binding head. Thank you

Call Michael Driskell at Third Gen Automotive. I have no idea who is "Natchez".

Tom, Perhaps he is thinking of Roy Nacewicz (RIP).
As for the subject screws, they are carryover Model A items and Snyder's amongst others offer a replacement kit for $2.50. The heads of the screws are the same width as the originals, but have a slightly different profile. Only the super-observant would notice the difference assuming that they even know what the originals looked like.. |

Yes Nacewicz which is Third Gen. The screw heads from the kit are too small and are very close to pulling thru the sliding arm pivot hole. Needs to be 1/2" dia. The wave washer helps but looks like the devil. Appreciate the input anyway.

Anyway? I've provided you with a source for the screws of the correct diameter.

Choice of words to do so says it all. A simple thanks or thank you without qualifiers keeps one in the safe zone.

Yes, except that the available replacements are slightly thicker at the outer edges of the head. The difference would not be noticed by most unless the original and replacement were viewed side by side.
