Default Sealing/protecting aluminum heads

I am interested in protecting the aluminum heads and intake on the display engine against oxidation for as long as possible. I have been experimenting a little with both clear lacquer and clear enamel. I am still not pleased with the results of either. Both are too glossy looking. Is there such a thing as a flat or perhaps semi gloss, clear, in a rattle can? I am looking for suggestions. Thanks in advance. Lawson

Turtle Wax paste. Put it on heavy let it dry rub it off. Seals the pores.

Used it on motorcycles for years. It’s not permanent but it sure helps.

I have thought of Simoniz paste wax but I have been a little hesitant to try it. Who else has tried it? It will not experience any heat at all. I will give it a try on a test piece.

You can get a semi-gloss and satin clear

I accidentally found that silver antiseize makes aluminum heads and intakes look new. Putting heads on recently, I used too much antiseize on the nuts and wiped the stuff off with a shop towel.... viola! the aluminum was a dull silver color that looked like new cast aluminum. IF I wiped most of the antiseize off, it no longer got on my hands. Try it on a small piece first to verify.

Be careful as a lot of clears will yellow.

Mike in tucson: Please define "recently" and "silver anti seize" more clearly.

Thanks
