Default Ghost in my carb???

221 V-8, Engine runs fine until you come to a stop. RPM drop to 400 then goes back to 800. I would think float level, reset lower and higher ,no change, Any ideas from you guys?? Thank you

No. linkage is at dead stop at carb,if there was movment in the linkage, it would speed up.
