It is not a Model A generator. There are two styles of later generators. One has voltage supplied to the field windings by the voltage regulator. The other has the field windings grounded by the voltage regulator. Look for a voltage regulator on your car. You will have to do some detective work with an ohm meter to figure out the generator. Posting some photos will help.

An alternative is to find a Model A generator or an alternator.
