'32 vs '33-34 brake questions
I have some questions regarding '32 and '33-34 parts. I think I know the answer, but I just want to verify.
Are '32 spindles the same as '33-34? Are ’32 front brake assemblies (backing plates, guts, drums, rotating rod actuator arms) the same as '33-34 fronts? Are ’32 rear brake assemblies (backing plates, guts, drums) the same as '33-34 rears? Thanks! |

Re: '32 vs '33-34 brake questions
Yes, all parts are the same, most carry "B" part numbers except the brake rods and crosshaft unit on the crossmember which are different '32 to '33/'34.
As a side note Ford did change the grease fitting size on late '34 spindles from 1/8" NPT to 1/4"-28 thread for some reason, therefore a "40-" part number was assigned, otherwise interchangeable with '32 & '33 spindles. Hope this helps. Paul J. |

Re: '32 vs '33-34 brake questions
If you are doing a high point restoration I think I remember there was a slight difference in the shape of the brake drum although they interchange. There were early '32 backing plates that are also interchangeable.
