I have parked my Diesel truck and have torn the Model A apart. I am driving the hybrid that gets 50 mpg. I see on the news that the price of fuel has actually come down a bit. I am not griping. Things could be worse. A lot worse. At least no one is dropping bombs on my house.

Fortunately for me my commute is a 4 minute bicycle ride. I'm going over in my head if it's a smart move to buy another old car right now (Model T), but I'll probably end up doing the smart thing and buy it...... lol

A guy I know just took possession of a new F250 he ordered about a year ago. He got every accessory they offered. Almost 90 grand! I told him he needs his head examined.

Hey, I have that sticker on my car.

How many of you remember when gas was below 25 cents a gallon, I remember paying 18 cents a gallon...I miss those days

Don't be too quick to buy gas just yet! Most stations still have winter blend gasoline, which vaporizes at a lower temperature for cold weather starting. BUT in warm/hot weather and/or high altitude it will cause "vapor locking".

To answer Keith,
I do.... I filled up my '56 Lincoln Premier on Atlantic Avenue in Virginia Beach, fall of 1964, and the high test was 22.9 cents per gallon. And I was 20! Sure do miss that Lincoln!

Overhere in Holland (somewhat closer to Ukrain …) petrol 10% ethanol is 2.434 euros/litre = about 9,856 US dollars.
I have decided to stay home and drink white wine …

Both state and federal agencies are looking into charge per mile tax . I think Utah has a pilot project to see how it works. I assume if that takes place in Pennsylvania it would be tied into state inspection for recording the mileage driven . A lot of unknowns involved.

I had a friend who sent me a note the other day. It read: "I ran out of gas today. I called my insurance company for roadside assistance and they totaled my truck"
