Maybe stop "using a heavy black wheel bearing grease"??

I noticed a hole on either side of the four dovetails on my Town Sedan and inside the dovetail has a piece of felt (the dovetails are hollow). Occasionally I wipe them clean and put a few drops of light oil in the holes. I don't know if this was what the holes and felt were originally meant for but it appears to be and seems to work.
