You may recall that a few weeks ago I said I was going to start to repaint the truck from yellow to gunmetal blue. Well, after about 12 hours of working, my son and I have the truck disassembled. Luckily, we did not find any real surprises of the bad kind. Here are some photo's:

Hey Bob and son: the truck is really in a good shape, no rust, awesome!! What is the next step? Do you think sanding the car with a higher grit sandpaper?

Can't wait to see the truck in GUNMETAL BLUE. That should look much nicer than canary yellow.

The yellow is the old color and it is an acrylic enamel. It is in great shape, other than the color. I am going to scuff it with scrotch brite pads and then paint over it with gunmetal blue.

For a repaint you should wet sand all surfaces with #400 wet or dry.
