Pretty remote chance but we have a 34 restored roadster here that was converted in the USA from right hand drive too left hand drive , then at a latter date was sold & shipped too New Zealand, Now looking to convert back too right hand drive, new rhd steering boxes are available here, Does anyone have a open car dash Right Hand Drive they would sell or suggest where one could be found , Thanks in advance , Derek in a hot dry NZ

Perhaps your chances will increase if you also consider a '33 phaeton/roadster dash which was the same for both LHD and RHD vehicles along with a early '34 instrument panel insert that was employed to use up an excess of leftover '33 dashes. The early '34 instrument panel insert offers the advantage of it not being limited to specific body types.

Thats a 1934 open car (not cabriolet).
Pretty rare as it is a standard dash due to no ashtray or cigar lighter. |

Trevor Poulsen in Queensland may be a good contact for a dash.
He will no doubt see your post. |

1933 Ford Right Hand Drive Dash. Notice that Tabs on the back of the Dash for the Instrument Panel and the Glove Box Lid are the same. |

Close up shot showing that a Right Hand Drive Dash can be used as a Left hand Drive Dash, as they are identical on the rear. |

Derek,
I've got this '34 RHD roadster dash, but I need a LHD roadster dash. Are you willing to trade? I've sent you a PM also. |

Keith,
It's a standard '34 RHD dash of the type with an integral instrument panel, i.e. manufactured after the surplus of '33 dashes had been exhausted. |

For the deluxe ,the 33 ashtray is slightly different than a 34 although the faceplate is identical.

Good point, Sheldon, as you have to match the ash tray to the dash or modify the dash.
