Yeah, I'm working on a 1931 Model A Deluxe Pick-up like that, shown in the photo below. It just needs a new battery and it should start right up. I was also told that, to preserve the original patina, it can be buffed out with some Johnson furniture wax. It is only original once, after all!!

Sometime in the 1960's, while traveling with my dad and mom, we stopped somewhere in, I think, Oregon, off the highway. There was the remains of a cab for a locomotive in a field. Later I learned that the whole locomotive was there and had been buried by a flood. Someone dug it up and got it running. Somehow this photo reminded me of that.

As a 12 yr old kid I bought a 1951 Chev 1/2 ton. I had as close to zero money as you could get, so the local boneyard was my parts source. One time I remember needing a "three on the tree" shifter and shift box as mine was completely wore out. I went digging around up there and found one in perfect condition, nearly new. The donor vehicle was just a bit better than the above vehicle, the cab was there but not much else. Pankinen, the boneyard owner charged me $2.
