I've attached 3 overlapping images of the article. Tried to keep them large enough so you could read the text.

It boils down to... all the Airtex 4406 pumps assembled with Phillips head screws are defective.
Some other brand names of new/replacement fuel pumps are failing as well.
The Airtex pumps with flat-head or hex-head screws apparently(?) don't have the same problem.
