disturber drive shat
Does the upper oil pump/dist. shaft receive oil ? When I removed mine it was very dry.

Re: disturber drive shat
It can be disturber-ing but my intermediate distributor shaft has had surface rust on some of my Model A's. I conclude that it doesn't get oiled other than some oil mist. So, I grease it when replacing or have it out. That may help some.

Ya it is kinda closed off. Some grease on the clean shaft sounds good. There should also be a little oil that runs down when you oil the bushings.

Re: disturber drive shat
Oil from the pump lubes the drive gear assembly, but goes no higher. Most of the oil floods the valve chamber. Light rusting of the distributor shafts is common.
