TV camerasand outdoor lighting, not original colors dictate the paint colors.

Re: Waltons TV show
I remember John-Boy's coupe being a light color, but we had a black & white set then, so it was all rendered in varying shades of gray...

Re: Waltons TV show
If you'd like another place to visit with or without your Model 'A', try Mt Airy, NC. My wife and I went there a couple of years ago and we went to Floyd's Barber Shop. I even got a haircut for $8.00 by the old barber who actually used to cut Andy Griffith's hair when Andy was a kid. I was kinda nervous when that 83 yr old Barber walked up to me sitting in that chair and he was sharpening his "Straight Edge". Then he used that Blade on me. Did a good job tho. Took nearly 45 minutes 'cause he was talking to me and other customers all the time while he waived that knife around.

Re: Waltons TV show
I have a pair of those, nearly six foot long running boards, shown on their "AA" truck. They are now working as shelves, atop a pair of NOS V8 transmission housings.

Walton's Mountian is in Schuyler, VA. We took a model A trip there many years ago. The little village is neat to visit as is the Museum. They loved us in our Model A's. I gave someone's aunt a ride. She loved it and took me on a tour of the village naming everyone's home and plenty of stories. clem Last edited by Clem Clement; 04-25-2011 at 09:45 PM. |

Re: Waltons TV show
FYI - The photos above are of a TT express body. The AA express body has wheel wells stamped into the sides and the sills are tapered to fit the AA frame.
The first picture is the AA express. The second picture is the TT express The Walton's AA express is a '29. In one show the right side of the truck was shown. It didn't have the spare wheel mounted and the '29 side wheel carrier could be seen. |

Another photo... I posted this link several years ago on the old Fordbarn but maybe it is time to talk about it again. The IMdb Vehicle site which shows still pictures from TVs & Movies, and is a great place to hang out and just look at old cars. You can search by the type of vehicle, ...or the TV/Movie, --or even for shows/movies with Model AA trucks in them. CLICK HERE to see that. Happy surfing...... . |
