Number 1 not firing when running.Changed plug. Changed coil. Coil sends spark not running engine. 1 wire was loose at timer at repaired. Appreciate help.

What J Franklin said, maybe stuck valve. You could pull the valve cover off and take a look see. If it is, reach through the spark plug hole and tap it down. Don't pull the head off if you don't need to. There is a shortage of copper head gaskets. If burnt valve, guess no choice, head will need to come off, but be careful and try saving gasket.

Yes Ron what J and Red have stated, I bought my T knowing zero @ #1 and 48-50 for the other three.
I pulled the head and did get the exhaust valve to move again but after cleaning the carbon and looking @ the valve seats I had some work to do. New cam, valves, adjustable lifters, timer, wiring ect but... it's running and driving again after a long siesta in a local shed. Just an FYI, the good copper head gaskets are/have been on back order for some time. There now being promised hopefully B4 turkey day ![]() Good luck and let us know how you make out. |

If it is a stuck valve, try spraying with penetratingly oil before you tap down.
