'29 roadster pickup sill plates
I'm installing reproduction sill plates on my '29 rpu and the bottom edge is rolled too far inboard to align with the bottom of the quarter panel. I'm not clear on how the bottom edge of the sill plate relates to the bracket on the sub rail , but I suspect I may not have it placed correctly in/on the bracket. Any suggestions?

Re: '29 roadster pickup sill plates
I have no experience with those on Roadster Pickups, but assume that they are mounted the same as those on Roadsters and Phaetons, with the exception of around the different seat base. The ones I've used for Roadsters actually fit fairly well. Basically the lower outside bead should line up with the bead on both the cowl post and the panel behind the door and then the sill edge is wrapped under the subframe. Here's some pictures I posted several years ago of how things go on a Roadster.

Re: '29 roadster pickup sill plates
Thanks, Randy. After a bit of massaging, I got mine to fit reasonably well. The passenger side is good, the driver's side less so. However, I attribute that to the fact that I had to do extensive rust repairs on the subrails on that side including bracket replacement and my repairs could be a little off.
