The current push for 'Political Correctness' (PC) would have one refer to that tag-a-long unit as a "Home with Hubcaps"! DD |

We had an easy day today,we stayed put, unhooked the caravanand just went driving in the countryside, most on dirt roads,we had a lovely time just putting along taking in the scenery,
Found another farm with old stuff, this guy has a pile of WW2 heavy fords, all done up real nice, He was exited to see us but had to rush off as he had just sold his farm(6500 acres) and the money had just been cleared at the bank, Nice guy who knew a mate of ours. This was the only pic from his place. The tester from yesterday. Lawrie |

Great pics Lawrie. I have a brass distributor set up tool just like that. When serving my apprenticeship at Burnett’s Motors I found it in the attic is the battery room. No one knew what it was. I did & still have it 48 years later. I have kept it exactly how I found it. But it sure would look great a spiffed up.

Gary, that was just out the back of Monto, so only about 250 ks frOm the coast,
But yesterday on the drive over to Bundaberg we did about 150 ks in the pouring rain, the engine never missed a beat and got no water leaks inside the car, Tony, we will be back at the place where the junk is including the timing gauge, I may try to buy it from him ,as it and all the Ford parts laying around will just rust away . Pic is the dash and eng in the old truck there Lawrie |

Home this arvo,
only 660 miles , car went well ,no leaks in the pouring rain . Last drive was from Monto to home (Gladstone) and the big hill, and logging trucks, we waited at the top of the hill for a logging truck to come along and followed him down,10 mph ,then along the flat let him get ahead to get out of the dust. I'm going to look at another muffler as we have not been as quite inside the cab as before, seems noisier when the engine is cold and quietens out when nice and hot. Lawrie |

Tinker, yes always towing the c/van.
Danny, 2 in inlet and 1-3/4 outlet, but the so called muffler is only 4 inches round and 14 long.Plus I had sleaved the front pipe down to 1-3/4 with an aluminium sleeve that looks like its leaking, plus the muffler thing has probably 40 yrs on it. Lawrie |
